Acupuncture

Acupuncture at Park Integrative Health

What is acupuncture?

Acupuncture is a modality within Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) that uses tiny, sterile needles inserted into the surface of the skin at significant acupuncture points to stimulate the body’s natural healing process and the flow of energy or Qi. In TCM, it is thought that pain, disharmony, or disease is a result of blockages in the flow of your Qi. Acupuncture restores the flow of Qi and therefore brings your health into a state of remembered wellness.

What should I expect from an acupuncture appointment?

At Park Integrative Health, our team of Registered Acupuncturists carefully work with each client to first assess the four aspects of Self: Physical, Mental, Emotional and Spiritual determine the type of healing process that needs to take place.

An acupuncture appointment may look very different depending on your individual wellness goals, but rest assured, this treatment is intended to be relaxing, healing, and impactful. Most clients notice a difference after one or two treatments, but for best results, acupuncture should be practiced regularly. Our team of Registered Acupuncturists will also use complementary modalities such as cupping, during a treatment.
