  • Job Summary

    Reporting to the Medical Coordinator, the Administrative Support position provides administrative services and support to Park Integrative Health (PIH). PIH is a private health and wellness clinic that specializes in providing comprehensive, collaborative healthcare to individuals in the greater Strathcona County and Edmonton area.

    Responsibilities
    • Communicate with patients, staff, contractors etc.
    • Greet and register patients
    • Ensure intake forms are completed
    • Prepare and maintain charts
    • Schedule appointments
    • Coordinate testing
    • Request lab reports
    • Process invoices
    • Provide accounting and billing services
    • Order supplies
    • Resolve conflict
    • Maintain effective workflow
    • Manage physician(s), RMT(s), R. Ac.(s), Dietician, Psychologist/RSW appointment schedules
    • Correspond with stakeholders, employees and contractors of PIH
    • Educate clients as required
    • Assist with other clinic activities as required
    • Provide general clerical support duties which include using computerized information systems, updating demographic information, maintaining accurate patient records, patient identification checks, and answering telephone calls.
    • Initiate and maintain files and records, ordering of supplies/materials and assisting in scheduling of patient appointments.
    Qualifications

     

    • Grade 12 with successful completion of post-secondary diploma/certificate as Office Assistant (Administrative or Medical)
    • Experience in a progressively responsible administrative support position considered an asset
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills
