CLIENT EXPERIENCE INFORMATION
Welcome to Park Integrative Health!
We are committed to ensuring our clients receive the best care possible.
PLEASE FOLLOW THIS PROCESS WHEN YOU ARRIVE AT OUR CLINIC FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT:
[1] Mandatory masking for clients/patients during their visit. Our PIH team members will also be fully masked when in the clinic.
[2] When you arrive for your appointment, please proceed into the clinic. If we have a room ready for you we will bring you right in, or you will be asked to have a seat in our waiting room. Currently, we can only accommodate 7 people at a time in the waiting room. If we are at capacity, we will ask you to return to your vehicle and wait there until we phone you. If you do not have a mobile phone, please let us know and we will work out an alternate arrangement.
[3] Each patient will continue to be screened at the time of appointment.
Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding. We look forward to supporting you in your health and wellness journey.
WHEN YOU VISIT THE CLINIC PLEASE ENSURE YOU:

Wear a mask at all times. If you don’t have one, one will be provided to you.

Avoid visiting the clinic if you are feeling unwell.

Use credit cards, e-transfer, or debit for payment. We are not accepting cash at this time.

Practice physical distancing of 6 feet whenever possible.

Please arrive on time or a couple minutes early for your appointment.
If you think you have been exposed to COVID-19 and/or are experiencing symptoms related to the virus, we urge you not to visit the clinic. NEWS AND UPDATES
UPDATE (MARCH 1, 2022) — LIFTING OF PROVINCIAL COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS AND CONTINUED MASKING AT PIH
To our valued clients:
With changes coming into effect in Alberta on March 1, 2022, we wanted to provide an update on how PIH will be approaching the lifting of COVID-19 restrictions.
First and foremost, the safety and health of our clients/patients and team members is our top priority. PIH will continue to follow COVID-19 protocols that were put in place in our clinic early on in this pandemic, including sanitizing, COVID-19 screening, and masking.
Because PIH is a health care facility that sees many vulnerable patients every day, we are required to keep masking in place inside the clinic and particularly in areas where patients/clients mix, like the waiting room and washrooms. We request that clients/patients continue to mask during their visit. Our PIH team members will also continue to be fully masked during client/patient appointments.
We sincerely appreciate your cooperation and continued support of PIH.
UPDATE (JUNE 30, 2021) — PROVINCIAL RESTRICTIONS AND CONTINUED MASKING AT PIH
To our valued clients:
With changes coming into effect in Alberta and Strathcona County on July 1, 2021, we wanted to provide an update on how PIH will be approaching the lifting of COVID-19 restrictions.
First and foremost, the safety and health of our clients/patients and team members is our top priority. PIH will continue to follow COVID-19 protocols that were put in place in our clinic earlier last year, including sanitizing, physician distancing, and COVID-19 screening.
Due to the nature of our close contact services, we request that clients/patients continue to mask during their visit. Our PIH team members will also continue to be fully masked during client/patient appointments.
We sincerely appreciate your cooperation and continued support of PIH. We feel fortunate that despite the circumstances of the pandemic, we’ve been able to maintain steady operations and continue to see our wonderful clients/patients.

Some of the temporary restrictions on personal and wellness services put in place by the Alberta Government late last 0 have been lifted.
For PIH, this means that we can now accept appointments for the following in-person allied health services:
-
Reiki
-
Manual Osteopathic Therapy
In addition, Massage Therapy bookings no longer require a referral from a regulated health professional.
You can read more here: personal and wellness services.
PIH’s other allied health services (acupuncture, nutritional consulting, and counselling) will continue in-person by appointment only; however, we encourage clients to book virtual appointments for nutritional consulting and counselling whenever possible.

Reiki

Manual Osteopathic Therapy
PIH’s other allied health services (acupuncture, nutritional consulting, and counselling) may continue in-person by appointment only; however, we encourage clients to book virtual appointments for nutritional consulting and counselling whenever possible.

UPDATE (DECEMBER 22, 2020) — MASSAGE THERAPY EXEMPTION
On Tuesday, December 22, the Alberta Government issued an exemption for restrictions on massage therapy services. Effective immediately, patients or clients with either a prescription from a physician, or a referral from another regulated health professional may access massage therapy services.
What this means for our clients:
-
Massage therapy appointments may start again; however, only if you have a prescription or referral.
-
To access massage therapy services over the coming weeks, you must have one of the following:
-
A valid prescription from a physician (either a PIH physician or a physician from another clinic);
-
A referral from a regulated health professional such as, a chiropractor, physiotherapist, acupuncturist, psychologist, dietitian, etc.;
-
A referral from PIH’s Client Care Team (please email clientcare@pihealth.ca)
If you are unable to present a valid prescription or referral at the time of you massage therapy appointment, we will have to refuse service, so we highly recommend having a prescription/referral in place before making a massage therapy booking.
Our Massage Therapy Team will continue to follow all COVID-19 safety protocols in place at PIH, and during appointments, including maintaining high hygiene standards, wearing personal protective equipment, masks, and other barriers for massage therapy services.
The following in-person allied health services remain temporarily suspended until further notice:
– Reiki
– Manual Osteopathic Therapy
Acupuncture, nutrition consulting, and counselling appointments will continue in-person; however, we are encouraging clients to book virtual visits with their allied health practitioner wherever possible.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to navigate this new change and ensure that our clients can access the wellness treatments they need.
