UPCOMING PIH COMMUNITY EVENTS
We regularly host community events. Here’s what we’ve got coming up…

The Integrative Approach is a workshop series dedicated to exploring how health practices support certain illnesses and conditions from an integrative health approach.
Upcoming workshops:
The Integrative Approach to Emotional Resilience in Children
This webinar is designed to offer adults an opportunity to gain further information and insight into the world of emotional resilience in children.
Led by PIH’s Mental Health team member, Shawna Benoit, Registered Psychologist, this webinar provides participants with information about emotional resilience and why it is important. Shawna will offer information about the role co-regulation plays in the formation of self-regulation, and an opportunity to learn techniques that will both help respond to your child’s emotional needs and foster emotional resilience in your child.
If you’re not able to attend live, a recording will be emailed to those who have registered approx. 3-5 days following the event.
Past workshops:
The Integrative Approach to Trauma-Informed Practice
This webinar creates a space for medical, health and wellness providers, and support workers, to learn the essentials of trauma-informed practice and how they can incorporate these principles into their everyday practice.
In this webinar, you will come away with an understanding of the nuances of trauma, the immediate and enduring responses to trauma, and what trauma-informed practice looks like, sounds like, and feels like.
This webinar is for anyone working within the medical, health, or wellness field, including physicians, allied health providers, and Medical Office or Administrative Assistants, who are interested in learning how to see and interact with humans from a compassionate, non-judgmental, trauma-informed lens.
If you’re not able to attend live, a recording will be made available approx. 3-5 days following the event for those who are registered.
The Integrative Approach to Fertility
Join two members of Park Integrative Health’s Allied Health Team, Jennifer Benson (Registered Provisional Psychologist) and Jennifer Kowerchuk (Registered Acupuncturist) to explore the many ways integrative medicine can support an individual’s journey through fertility.
From supporting those experiencing challenges with conceiving, to individuals who may have difficult menstrual cycles, PCOS, and more, integrative health care is a truly beneficial approach to supporting and very often solving fertility concerns. You will leave this workshop with tools and paths to take an integrative approach to your own fertility.
If you’re not able to attend live, a recording will be made available approx. 3-5 days following the event for those who are registered.
The Integrative Approach to Healing Trauma
This workshop focuses on understanding what trauma is, how it impacts our health and well-being, and two pathways to healing that align with integrative health care.
Join PIH Allied Health team members, Ashley Gazley (Registered Social Worker) and Heather Gazley (Registered Acupuncturist and Shamanic Practitioner) as they walk you through the nuances of trauma; demonstrate the compatibility of clinical counselling and Shamanic healing; and provide you with practical tools to help you in your day-to-day life while you navigate this new journey of integrating and healing trauma.
If you’re not able to attend live, a recording will be made available approx. 3-5 days following the event for those who are registered.
The Integrative Approach to Avoiding Food Stress
Join Park Integrative Health’s Intuitive Eating Coach and Certified Holistic Nutrition Consultant, Ardelle Viau, as she takes you on a journey through intuitive eating — what it means, how to practice it, and ways you can incorporate intuitive eating in your life.
This workshop will focus on three core steps that will help you stress less about food and feel confident with your food choices. Ardelle will teach you how to break up with the diet mentality and ways to honour your feelings of hunger and fullness.
