The holistic team at Park Integrative Health cares deeply about ensuring that each client receives the best treatment they most need. Our holistic practitioners work with each client, their medical doctors, and other PIH team members to ensure an integrative approach to each individuals journey to wellness.
Deeyana Baydala, R.AC., RMT
*NOTE: Deeyana is no longer accepting new massage therapy clients and is fully transitioning to acupuncture in December 2020.*
Deeyana is a Registered Acupuncturist passionate about assisting people on their health journey. Deeyana tailors each treatment specifically to the patient’s needs to optimize the quality of care. She has interest in the fields of gastrointestinal/digestive conditions, mental-emotional health, and pain conditions. Deeyana is furthering her Chinese Medicine education at Pacific Rim College in Victoria in the fall of 2021 to obtain her TCMD. She is happy to be a part of the movement of combining Western and Eastern medicines to provide the best and most effective treatment for patients and their corresponding conditions.
Nicole Broadhurst, R.AC., TCMD
Nicole is a Registered Acupuncturist and TCMD who graduated from the Doctor of Chinese Medicine program at ACATCM in Calgary, AB. She specializes in Fertility – both natural conception and assisted reproductive treatments (IVF/IUI), Sexual Health and Psychological Disorders. She enjoys working with individuals and couples wanting to grow their family, restore their sexual vitality and achieve a balanced mental state.
Heather Gazley, R.AC.
Heather is the Client Care Coordinator and the Director of Business Integration at Park Integrative Health, and a Registered Acupuncturist. In a previous life she was an educator and holds a Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta. She says, “I believe that every individual has the capacity to be well – it is my role to support their journey as they move toward a state of remembered wellness.”
Trish Hague, R.AC.
Trish Hague is a Registered Acupuncturist and former teacher who began her acupuncture studies four months after experiencing the benefits from her first acupuncture treatment. Inspired by TCM’s efficacy and emphasis on supporting the body’s self-healing abilities, Trish’s mission is to assist individuals at any age in achieving and maintaining wellness — physically, mentally, and spiritually. With a special interest in treating children and teens, Trish’s primary passions are treatments for mental-emotional wellness, sleep disturbances, digestive conditions, pain management, and hormonal balance.
Céline Sandberg, R.AC.
Céline is a registered acupuncturist whose goal is to empower people on their journey to better health. She has a special interest in fertility, perinatal care, as well as hormonal health, mental-emotional health, and trauma. Céline appreciates that healing should be holistic as well as individualized, and so each treatment is uniquely designed for each patient. She is an advocate for patients receiving the best health care options available through the blending of East and West medicines.
Richard Shimada, R.AC.
Richard is familiar with both Western and Traditional Chinese (and Japanese Minimalist) Medicine. Practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine is his natural calling. Certified as Registered Acupuncturist, Richard also specializes in Peripheral Nerves Disorders, Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSK), Pain Management, Mental health, Gastrointestinal disorders, as well as Cosmetic Acupuncture. Cosmetic Acupuncture is very well known across Asia, and emerging in North America as the go to holistic approach to rejuvenating the facial dermis – which is very effective against wrinkles with little to no side affects.
Rana Abdelkarim, RMT, Reiki Practitioner
Rana is a former Registered Nurse turned Registered Massage Therapist and Reiki Practitioner. Having worked within both Western and Eastern medicine traditions, Rana believes patient care should be both holistic and fully customized to one’s needs. She can’t wait to show you how being in a better relationship with your body, mind, and spirit, is your most powerful tool for improved health and wellbeing.
Rana is passionate about mental health, digestive health and energy work. When she is not at the clinic, she can be found facilitating virtual Subconscious Imprinting sessions. Rana’s treatments include: therapeutic massage, myofascial cupping, biomagnetic cupping, abdominal cupping, facial cupping, hydrotherapy, joint mobilization, manual lymphatic drainage, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation, intraoral massage, tuning forks, essential oils, crystal therapy, and Reiki.
Rence Balaccua, RMT
Rence is a Registered Massage Therapist who graduated from Makami College in June 2020 and is a member of CRMTA (Certified Registered Massage Therapist Association). Rence’s goal is always to help clients live and enjoy their lives without any Musculoskeletal (MSK) disorders or issues. Rence offers the following treatments: Therapeutic Massage that includes: Orthopaedic assessment, finding the right treatment for the injury, treatment adaptability, and appropriate use of the rehabilitation protocol. He is trained and highly skilled with different modalities and techniques such as Pin and Stretch, Prenatal Massage, Swedish Massage, Cross Fibre Massage, Cross Fibre Friction, Dynamic and Myofascial cupping, Trigger point release, joint mobilization, hydrotherapy, and PNF (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation).
Rence values continuous learning and is looking to further his education by taking the Rapid Neurofascial Reset Seminar in September 2020. When Rence is not working, you will find him watching or playing sports and spending quality time with his friends and family.
Ron Dino, RMT
Ron is a Registered Massage Therapist. He graduated from Makami College with 3000 Hours Advanced Clinical Massage Therapy in 2017. He also attended Dynamic Cupping Course from Seminars For Health in 2018. With an intuitive touch and infectious smile, Ron has been improving the quality of wellness in his clients for almost 4 years.
Ron looks at the body as a machine — if an area is seized up, he works with clients to focus on all the parts and mechanics to fix it, not just the local area of complaint. He enjoys tailoring each session to the client’s needs and combining deep focused work with stretching and movement, for individualized results.
Ron’s great respect for the medical benefits of massage combined with his compassion for others, and intuition for healing, create a unique, therapeutic balance. He’s not afraid to learn new things or look outside the box to provide patients with the best care for long lasting result. He uses a variety of techniques including deep focused work, trigger point therapy, myofascial cupping, light stretching and mobilization, sports massage, and Swedish or relaxation massage. When he’s not at work you’ll find him spending time at the gym, watching movies, taking care of his plants or napping. Originally from the Philippines, Ron has lived here in Sherwood Park for almost 14 years.
Terri Cuthill, MOT, RMT
Terri Cuthill began her massage career with Alberta College of Massage Therapy, graduating in 2009. She started working at a spa in Sherwood Park in 2011 and moved to Park Integrative Health in 2017. To add to her skills, Terri has taken an introductory craniosacral workshop, a jade stone workshop and has her standard First Aid and level C CPR. In 2018, Terri returned to school at Manual Osteopathic College of Canada, to add to her skills; completing the course in Sept 2019. Terri is an active member of the Canadian Massage and Manual Osteopathic Therapist Association. She has enjoyed giving back to the industry by teaching with the school since 2010 as a Teaching Assistant and an Instructor in 2015. Terri enjoys helping others, whether it’s helping a client’s body find its way to health or a student learn the body.
