What is massage therapy?
As part of a collaborative team, our Registered Massage Therapists provide relaxation, therapeutic, deep tissue, pregnancy, meditation, and complementary modalities such as cupping as part of a comprehensive treatment plan. Your treatment plan is developed alongside your other healthcare providers to ensure that you receive optimal care.
Park Integrative Health’s team of Registered Massage Therapists work with clients to deliver treatments that will benefit areas of the body most in need of a massage. Through our integrative approach, it’s not uncommon for our Registered Massage Therapists to work collaboratively with physicians and other health practitioners you may be seeing at our clinic. The goal is always the same: take an integrative approach to medicine that empowers you to reach your highest expression of wellness.
When should I visit a Registered Massage Therapist?
Massage therapy is beneficial for the whole person — mind, body, and spirit. From reduction of the physical and emotional ramifications of perpetual stresses to reduction in anxiety and depression symptoms, massage therapy addresses both the physical and emotional/ psychological needs of the human experience. At Park Integrative Health, we offer many different types of massage therapy, from relaxation to sports, to deep-tissue, meditation, pregnancy, energetic, and more.
Regular massage is a recommended preventative treatment that helps your body heal faster when imbalances occur. Very often we may be accustomed to our body operating at a suboptimal level. Massage therapy is a great reminder to check in and bring greater awareness to how areas of the body are feeling.

What should I expect from a massage therapy appointment?
Massage therapy treatments consist of the manual manipulation of your body’s soft tissues, including muscles, tendons, ligaments, and joints to target and relieve tension and pain. Before any treatment begins, clients chat briefly with their Registered Massage Therapist about problem areas, injuries, or targeted areas they would like treated.
Our massage therapy rooms are designed to be comfortable and quiet to allow for maximum relaxation during treatment. Clients can expect a heated massage table, soft bedding, and a dimly lit room.
