Deeyana Baydala

Deeyana graduated from the Massage Therapy Program at MacEwan University in 2016, and has graduated from MacEwan’s Acupuncture Program in June 2019. Currently Deeyana is working toward her exams taking place this year to become a Registered Acupuncturist and is excited to incorporate her knowledge of massage therapy, acupuncture, and Chinese Medicine into her treatments.

After a quick recovery from an injury a few years ago, Deeyana has realized that she is passionate about allied health, and in turn, is intrinsically motivated to assist and guide others on their health and wellness journey. Having been a dancer and dance instructor for most of her life, she has an extensive understanding of the body and its kinetic relationship with the relative muscle groups. Deeyana focuses on patients’ muscle health, maintenance, and rehabilitation, while putting an emphasis on educating her patients to further their care at home.

Within her treatments, Deeyana includes a variety of modalities from Trigger Point Therapy, Myofasical Release Techniques, Swedish Massage Techniques, PNF (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation), and Deep Tissue Techniques to provide a unique patient-oriented treatment. The knowledge Deeyana has obtained from MacEwan University’s Acupuncture Program has allowed her to integrate Acupressure within her treatments—opening a major window to the benefits of Traditional Chinese Medicine— which she is excited to incorporate into her treatments in the future.
