The story of PIH.
In late 2017, Park Integrative Health™️ opened its doors, and while our physical space is the visible manifestation of our business, there is so much more to our story. PIH was an idea decades in the making, from our co-founders’ separate and shared experiences of integrative health to our leadership team’s individual career paths that all culminated in the right place at the right time.
The concept for Park Integrative Health™️ grew from our shared belief that a journey to health requires an inclusive approach. One that focuses on an individual’s mind, body, and spiritual well-being.
Our co-founders, Dr. Neeja Bakshi, Heather Gazley, Brandon R. Jacobs, and Mahesh Upadhyay, saw a gap in service delivery for healthcare and wellness treatments and a misbelief that Eastern and Western medical traditions could not coexist. Our experiences with integrative medicine said otherwise, and we knew PIH was going to be the one to disrupt this way of thinking; to change the system.
Our model for an integrative clinic became a reality when we opened the doors of Park Integrative Health™️ in Sherwood Park, Alberta — the first fully integrative healthcare clinic in Northern Alberta. Since opening our doors, we’ve worked tirelessly to promote the message of integrative care across the Edmonton Area and beyond.

Our Mission
We are working to empower each individual to reach their highest expression of health and wellness by working with a team of collaborative professionals to address the root cause(s) of illness and/or injury.
Our Vision
We are striving to see the healthcare system move from reactionary to proactive, from operating in silos to a collaborative movement, and from separating Eastern and Western medicines to integrating the two with empowered patients at the centre.
We believe the future of healthcare is integrative and seek to change the way healthcare is experienced in Canada.™️
