PARK INTEGRATIVE HEALTH’S™️
LONG COVID PROGRAM

A specialized program for individuals experiencing long-lasting effects of COVID-19 that incorporates eastern and western health modalities to provide patients with the best integrative health care.

IMPORTANT NEWS ABOUT PIH’S LONG COVID PROGRAM.

(November 6, 2023)

Dr. Bakshi, PIH’s Medical Director and head of our Long COVID Treatment Program, has made the challenging decision to take a sabbatical from clinical work between May 2024 and September 2024. Due to the high volume of patient referrals to the Long COVID Treatment Program, we are booking into spring 2024. To ensure we can accommodate these referrals before Dr. Bakshi’s leave, effective immediately, we are pausing medical consultations for new patients in the Long COVID Program until fall 2024. This means temporarily, we’ll only accept new patients into the program through our Client Care Program rather than through physician referral, and treatment options will focus on allied health services rather than a combination of medical and allied interventions.

Beginning November 6, 2023, Long COVID patient referrals will be returned to the referring physician with a thorough Medical Management guideline for Long COVID patients to support your physician in helping with your symptoms. As we’ve grown to understand Long COVID, we now know that rehab and allied health are incredibly important to the management and recovery from Long COVID. We encourage those suffering from Long COVID to seek consults with our Client Care team, who can support you in developing a treatment plan using allied health modalities. PIH has also developed additional Long COVID resources, including an informational video and a recording of our recent educational webinar on Long COVID. You may access them below.

On behalf of Dr. Bakshi and our entire clinic, we sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate the challenges and realities for our Long COVID team. If you have any questions or concerns, we encourage you to read our FAQ below, or reach out to our team at clientcare@pihealth.ca.
